A Bit More Exciting!

We aren't always boring though! We can live it up...notice the Vegas post from five months ago - okay, so we aren't that exciting very often, but when it happens we have a great time! This past Friday we decided to have another girls night...but we planned this one a little better - we didn't have to go anywhere -ha! It was a "sit in the hot tub and relax while drinking a couple of bottles of wine" kind of a night - which was SO much better than Katy Perry ever thought about being! I pulled out the BIG wine glasses - Terri kept calling them Ice Cream Dishes, but whatever - I liked the BIG glass because that meant we could say we only had three glasses of wine that night :) Anyway, all was fabulous and fine, until we had to get OUT of the hot tub and make our way back into the house. Don't get me wrong, we were feeling the wine and having a good time talking, laughing, and relaxing in the hot tub...but have you ever drank in one and then have to get out? The extreme hot to the cold really intensifies the alcohol. So then we just laughed uncontrollably...but we had a blast! Josh just kept shaking his head when he would come out of his cave to see what the commotion was about. A much better girls night - good thing Terri was staying the night at our place! Here are some pics we managed to take...Josh started out as our photographer, but he soon gave up and we were on our own -ha!

Notice the glasses are empty...we had already consumed two bottle of wine, and was asking my hubby to go and open us another bottle...but when he left, he never reappeared with another bottle for us...that was probably the right thing to do :)

He were are just laughing at ourselves and the fact that our wine glasses were still empty - it is amazing what you find funny when you are a bit tipsy!

This is the last photo of the evening...I really don't even know what to say about us!

I Kissed a Girl - WHAT!

So, for Christmas Terri and I decided to buy each other a ticket to go and see Katy Perry at the Beaumont Club down in Westport for a girls night out, which was on March 23rd. Back in November that sounded like a fabulous idea! Finally after waiting over four months to go, the day finally arrived...Terri and I got all cute and headed out to the Salty Iguana for some chips and salsa and a couple of margaritas - which were yummy by the way! So there we are, the two of us, on our girls night out away from the fam and the kiddos, and we are so ummmm, what is the word I am looking for, oh yeah "BLAH!" The weather was sort of yucky, wet, windy, you know the type...and all we could think about was the fact that the Beaumont Club is a standing room only bar with a first come first serve mentality with LOTS of people standing in line outside of the club just to get in and be close to the stage...then we would have to stand the whole time of the concert and never be able to sit and relax and enjoy the show. I know, I know...you are thinking to yourself - UMMMM HELLLLO you are seeing Katy Perry, the show isn't going to be a relaxing one. So needless to say, we just weren't into it. By the time we had devoured our margaritas and our meal, we had decided we were calling it a night - yep, we gave away our tickets to a couple of bar tenders at the restaurant, who were ecstatic by the way, and headed to Blockbuster video to rent a couple movies, get lots of snacks, and headed back to my house for a night on the couch. So, what I am wondering is this...does this mean we are getting old -HA!!!!

Sick!

OK, so this is how sick we are... another opportunity arose for us to go to Vegas (2 weeks after our last trip mind you) and we were actually considering it until previously scheduled engagements conflicted with it. I was all too thrilled to be going back, especially since this time we would have stayed in the Bellagio (a.k.a. my second home). I attached the photo above because it is (in my opinion) the most beautiful hotel/casino in Vegas. Granted, I haven't been in all of the hotels/casinos in Vegas to make a truly accurate comparison; however, I am not opposed to future trips to see if my above statement about the Bellagio is as accurate as I think it is. =) I raise my glass to toast the Bellagio, my second home, I will return to Vegas soon enough to be with you once more!

Welcome to our blog

Blog Girl Terri and Blog Girl Lori were on a girls trip to Vegas when the idea of creating a blog for our fun times was born. We both have other blogs so the idea of creating one together for our vacations, girl's nights and annual Vegas trips only seemed like a natural progression for two friends looking to share their experiences with the world. We hope you enjoy!
